| Trip: Cooper Spur ascent of Mount Hood - more details at http://www.summitpost.org/cooper-spur/155414. Took a short detour to the beautiful waterfalls on the Columbia River Gorge and met the rest of the party (KAF) at the very nice Cooper Spur Mountain Resort. Established camp on Friday next to the Shelter and roamed aroud. Some cool ice climbing on Saturday followed by the ascent on Saturday night - Sunday. Great snow - took us a bit less that 5 hours to get to the summit. Left Seattle on Thursday, 5/19 around noon, back to civilization on Sunday, 5/22. |
